My onboarding experience was definitely great, it was completely virtual due to the pandemic in July, 2020. The group of onboarding sessions were called Micron Assimilation Program and new joinees at Micron are called New College Graduates (NCGs).
As for the program, we were around 90 NCGs from various colleges, a diverse group and this opportunity allowed all of us to connect and interact with each other whilst undergoing trainings, workshops and sessions on various topics associated with Micron that would ease our transition from campus to corporate.
The first week of sessions from HR were then followed by respective departments. The entire program was for a month and included various activities and one project specific to our domain post domain-specific trainings.
The onboarding process is subject to various changes based on certain facts and conditions.
