Please tell me about the training when you first joined?

That’s a great question, I’ll first answer from the perspective of a college graduate, since that was my experience. I had undergone a smooth campus to corporate transition via the onboarding assimilation program that included sessions from HR, Department and Sub-department in 6-8 weeks followed by a mini project. In case of lateral hires, the training schedule and sessions are completely dependent upon the department you are joining, though you will also have a few sessions with the HR team for onboarding. In both cases, you are allotted an agreed upon timeframe to transition completely into your role. It’s a gradual process and your inputs are valued.

I can share my experience as a Lateral Hire. We had 1-2 weeks of all HR, Finance, Compliance and People Benefits trainings. These trainings give well-rounded information about Micron as well as its employee benefits programs. Then my Department leaders took out time to have a gradual series of training and Knowledge Transfer sessions specific to my work. All in all, there was ample time and support provided in the beginning month to us.
